Server Maintenance

We'll be performing a rather overdue server maintenance today at 11:00 Server Time (approx. one hour from now). The server won't be taken down until we're confident that we're ready to go, as we're aiming to make this as quick and painless as possible. We're hopefully this will all go smoothly, but given the amount of time since the last significant maintenance, there could be unforeseen issues - fingers crossed this won't be the case, but apologies in advance if it takes longer than anticipated.

EssenceRO v4 Website

You've probably all noticed by now that we have a new website and control panel up and running. I'm still ironing out a few pages here and there, and I'll also address the forums when I'm able to. It's the server's third birthday soon, so marking this with a fresh new look and hopefully followed by improvements in the game environment for you guys.

Back to Maintenance..

Again, we'll announce in advance when the server will be taken down for maintenance. As always, if you're stuck for something to do while waiting for the server to come back up, we'd really appreciate you taking a couple of minutes to review the server on Ratemyserver.net:

Reviews have slowed off considerably over the last two months, and it's been a long time since we've held the number one position (both for midrate servers and overall servers) - so it would be really nice if we could start boosting the rankings again.

Status Update:

We're running through changes and preparing for maintenance now, guys. As soon as we move the fresh svn into a new directory ready for compile, we'll be taking the server down. I'll give you a heads up in advance in-game!
